Bear Lake Reserve has a new Events Manager!

The magical ambiance of Bear Lake Reserve makes it the perfect place to host a wedding, corporate retreat or any other event. These type of events require a lot of coordination which is why we have Kelsie Rich, our new Events Manager! Kelsie has been working at BLR since May 2016 and she is excited to hopefully turn event guests into returning EA guests. You can read more about Kelsie and her manager position in her interview below.

Please explain your manager role for 2018

My new role as Events Manager consists of coordinating all weddings, corporate retreats, and various other events like Graduation dinners etc. as well as assisting our Lifestyle Director, Sarah, in the Activities department and with holiday events.

What are you most excited about for BLR 2018 season?

I am excited about a lot of things! I am probably most excited about our 14 weddings we have this year. These are going to bring a lot of people to Bear Lake and hopefully most of them will return and be EA vacation guests in the upcoming years. In addition, I am excited about our team. We have a real solid team this year with all of our returning staff and I am excited to see just how much we can achieve together!

Anything else you would like to let the owners know?

I am a recent Western Carolina University Graduate. I earned two degrees: one in Hospitality and Tourism; and one in Entrepreneurship. While at WCU, I became a certified Event and Meeting Planner and obtained a Hotel Industry Analyst certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association. I also have a passion for volleyball and am looking forward to getting back out on the court this summer!
