This week we are highlight a dynamic duo at bear lake reserve: Executive Chef Josh and Sous Chef Alice.

At Bear Lake Reserve you can enjoy a meal by Chef Josh and Alice at our indoor and outdoor dining room with bar-style seating, our private dining area with fireplace or our poolside bar & grill. Josh and Alice are both heading into their 3rd season at BLR. This year they are rolling out a fresh new menu and can’t wait to cook our Members and Guest some delicious dishes!

Sous Chef Alice Interview 

Please explain your new manager role for 2018:

My manager roll for 2018 will be mainly focused on Paddlebacks. I am happy to say we have returning staff this season! I will be working closely with each of them to help provide above and beyond service for all our members and guests.

What are you most excited about for BLR 2018 season? 

I am most excited about seeing all the members and guest return to property for another fun filled summer at BLR! We are rolling out a brand new menu, have made some great upgrades to the Lake Club and have a lot of awesome activities planned! I’m also excited to be working with the strong motivated team we have! Each team member is dedicated, focused, and love what they do! We are ready to provide exceptional service and help you and your families make life-long memories here at Bear Lake!

Anything else you would like to let the owners know?

My primary focus outside of work is to my two kids, Isabel and Malachi! We love hiking, swimming, and fishing! I am very blessed to be able to bring my kids to BLR to share with them the beauty of this mountain! My son caught his first fish here at Millpond! And my daughter had her 9th Birthday party here and her friends are still talking about how much fun it was 3 years later! They say I have the coolest job ever, I agree!!

 

Executive Chef Josh Interview 

Please explain your manager role for 2018:

My manager role for this year is to provide planning and execution of all food service outlets and events. As well as training and providing positive influence to my staff and to be a helpful and enthusiastic food resource for all of our members and guests.

What are you most excited about for BLR 2018 season?

I am most excited about the events this summer, cooking some really great dishes and engaging with our members and guests. The Summer concerts, especially the 4th of July celebration! Enjoying the beautiful Bear Lake Reserve summer atmosphere, having a great time, and providing great service!

Anything else you would like to let the owners know?

The photo is of my family (wife Amber, daughters Amiya and Kara) In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities such as golf, hiking, and water sports. I also have a love for making music!
